PAS

I've always been quite reluctant to delve into topics about Islam or things pertaining to Islam. It is not that I dare not discuss the topics in general but I felt that it should be left to people who are more qualified to talk about it. Nonetheless, there are new issues that people have been talking about . I'm talking about issues brought about by Pas or Parti Islam Semalaysia. I feel that Pas now has gone off tangent. What I mean is that it has gone out from the Islamic objectives of the party. The new things that PAS has brought about  especially recently have shown that the party is moving away from the objectives of establishing Islamic state in Malaysia. It looks like PAS is becoming more secular and more "pragmatic". I don't really like to use the word pragmatic but  it actually describes the party as it is now. Pas is becoming more UMNO like. It is moving towards the center. I believe that this is not quite right. Pas should maintain its main principles. These things are non-negotiable. You can never negotiate the principles of Islam. But it seems that , this is what PAS is doing. It is abandoning it principles to accommodate with other Non -Malays or Muslim parties

What irks me is that Pas would never bend its principles when negotiating with UMNO. It would always stick to its gun. The fact that PAS was willing to change it Islamic credence just to accommodate Non Malays or non Muslim parties is benyond my understanding. It is sad to see Tok Guru changing his principles just for political purposes.  It is  a known fact that non Muslims would never accept Malaysia being a theological based nation. Karpal would have said "Cross my dead body" Pas's notion that UMNO is less Muslim is also a bewilderment  How could you claim you are more Islamic than the others? Only fools would do that.

I really hope good sense will come back to PAS. I sincerely hope that the party can still stick to its original aim. I feel that its previous objectives of making Malaysia an Islamic state will be realized better if they continue talking with UMNO. I know that it is a very difficult task. But given our doa and our prayers   I hope that this is not  just a dream but something that is not beyond reach

Gay Johor Minister

This is quite a hot news from Johor. It seems that Johor is now the center of attention. The attention now is on a minister in Najib's administration. It is reported that  the wife of this minister is very pretty but alas he's not interested in the sexy feminine body . He's more into young boys - Twenty something year old boys.

Wow! It seems like being gay is a very normal thing to do. First, we have Anwar Ibrahim  1. At present we are witnessing Anwar Ibrahim sodomy II.. The evidence is getting more convincing. Karpal Singh is scratching is head up and down to figure out on not guilty charges based on technicalities.

But what worries me is not so much of the minister or ex minister but actually our young children. I think one of the causes of this gay thing has really got to do with the boarding school syndrome. I bet these two ministers were at a boarding school. I believe they got their training or exposure while studying in this type of school. I even heard that ASIS school or Sekolah Menengah Sains Alam Shah at Cheras practise some sort of this nonsensical culture. They call it Toron which is more of physically abusing the body of a junior as a form of initiation at the school. This culture among by the students must be stopped. The school administration must take this thing seriously. We do not want our children who are the potential leaders of Malaysia to practise this weird culture. I believe this culture is the direct cause of sodomy and gay practices in Malaysia

Our Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyuddin Yassin who is also the Minister of Eduction need to stem out this hedonistic practice that is not inline with our Asian values  and Islamic culture and tradition. The inability of get rid may  result is a weak Malaysia.

Interlok

I don't really understand  what is the fuss about the novel Interlok. It seems that the Indian community in Malaysia  is not very happy with the use of the word pariah in the novel. They are demanding the government to withdraw the novel which is used as a literary text for form five students. They believe that the novel would inculcate a racist view among the young Malaysians. Some of the Hindu extremist have even burnt the books to show their dissatisfactions with the book. Some of these Indians also used the Thaipusam day  to degrade the Prime Minister by demonstrating against the use of the the novel.

I believe that most of these Indians have not read the novel. They only demonstrated based on what their leaders say. May be some of them get paid to demonstrate.

The novel itself was written more than 30 years ago by Abdullah Husain and it depicted the actual life of Malaysians at that particular time. At that time that word was used quite regularly and the readers of the novel understand the context that it is used. If the Indian community felt that the word pariah ought to be deleted than out of consistency they should also demand that the word be taken out from our own dictionaries.

It is just a trivial matter that is manipulated by opportunistic politicians that are out of ideas. These politicians are really bankrupt of ideas but wanting to stay relevant. The government should not be held ransom by the politicians and it should stand firm.

Rosmah Mansor

As the First Lady of Malaysia Rosmah Mansor should project the image of a very supportive wife to the husband, the Prime Minister of Malaysia. She should play the role of a good wife meaning someone who cares and loves her husband unconditionally. She should also project the image of a loving mother to her children.

But alas, the image now that we have of Rosmah is unflattering. She is overshadowing her husband's image. She looks as if she the Commander in Chief or the Nakhoda of a ship. She looks very commanding to the extent that the husband looks so submissive.

The image that she is trying to project in  organizing the First Ladies summit is also confusing. What is the aim of the summit? Where does the money to organize the summit come from? What are the benefits of the summit to the country?

Besides wasting the rakyats' money organising a fruitless summit she is also involves heavily in the questionable   Permata Pintar project. She was given the budget that is worth millions of ringgit. Why is she given so much money.? And the sad thing is that the Permata Pintar is housed in UKM. The university which was previously known as UKM the research university is now known as UKM-Permata . But some UKM people are very happy with this  tag.

I believe the Prime Minister should reign in his wife. She must not be seen as someone who runs the country although in reality that is what she is doing. If Najib wants to last as long as Dr. Mahathir he would have to be a bit firmer in advising his is wife. Najib must also remind his wife to spend the rakyat's money with more responsibility. I hope the recent event in Tunisia would create some awareness in Rosmah to behave more responsibly

Chua Soi Lek

Chua Soi Lek the MCA presidents is really insensitive to the Malays. He tries to define race relations while ignoring the importance of the historical facts. He is denying the historical existence of the Malay community. He is such a reckless politician trying to play racial cards for his own erotic political purposes. There is a lot that we ,the Malay voters, can do to teach this wanna be porno star a lesson. I think one of the most effective ways the Malays in general could do particularly those in Kulai Johor is NOT to vote for Mr.Chua Soi Lek. Let him be a porno star permanent porno star.He was voted in as a parlimentarian on the assistance of the Malay votes and yet he is daring enough to call for the bumiputera rights to be taken away.Is this guy worth electing? So please the Malays in Johor is this the kind of a leader that you want to elect the one that would mould our nation?

It is now time for us  to teach him a lesson. Teach him that he can suffer the consequences of his political folly and his wide mouth. His mouth is good for doing something else. For that matter I would like to welcome all the Malays to reject any MCA or MIC members who have the tendency to play with  racial cards. Get rid of the leaders who are against the bumiputra rights. UMNO seemingly has forgotten us. We have no where to go. There are also Neo liberal Malays who are against other Malays and they believe in the propagation of Malaysians for Malaysia. There is even a Minister shouting he is a Malay second. Where do we go? To whom do we rely on? Who is going to protect us? The Malay leaders are abandoning us.

The Non Malay ministers in the government  are only taking care of their own communities. The UMNO youth leader is only interested in becoming the Prime Minister. He could not care less about the Malays. He's such an ineffective leader. The PAS spiritual leader is not proud of his Malay roots. He's now using politics for his own gains and I believed he has deviated from his original aims.

I beg that the Malays to unite and work  together to build this country. Please stop all  the cancerous corruption and the mismanagement of this country. We need to be more transparent in running the country. Punish really hard those who take bribes and those who cause hardships to the average Malaysians. We love our country.

Post NEP Malays

Post NEP Malays are very successful. They drive the latest 5 series BMWs or the towkays 240 Mercedes Benzes mostly dark colours that look so sporty and elegant. Some even drive the latest S type jaguars and audi TTs. Sitting next to them are their doll like wives with really big shades covering half of their faces. The wives are no doubt beautiful who would spend most of their time having expensive UBUD massages and doing the heavy makeups . You will not see any spots on their faces. They exude confidence and dine in expensive Italian restaurants or Five star hotels. These pretenders would talk big and boastful of their successes.

They would talk about government excesses and injustices. They lamented about the the million dollar contracts grabbed by the government cronies and the corruptions involved in the dealings. They also talked about who gave what to whom and the millions that others got. To them this world is full of wrongdoings and faults.

They crow about the glaring injustices that frequently happening in the country. They have their own top rated bumiputra bashing blogs and trying to play heroes by hilighting the injustices everywhere. They tend to be very happy with the glowing comments garlanded onto them . They think they are now everybody's' heroes fighting for the right causes.

What irks me is that they now trying to be the new post NEP Malays or the Neo Liberal Malays who are talking about the misplaced affirmative actions. They want all the affirmative actions to help the deserving poor to be stopped. They have forgotten that they were once on this roll plucked out from the deep forest of kodiang or Baling and sheltered in government run schools. When they were kids they were regular fed with Milo drinks at these schools courtesy of the government . This is because their parents could not afford to buy it. Alas, but now they want all these positive affirmative programmes to be stopped. These affirmative actions are not right according to them. They stay in a rich neighborhood and the forget that that there are still lots of Malays who are really poor and deserved to be helped. They tend to avoid returning to the kampungs where you can see people still fighting for survival. They would give excuses that the their children cant sleep at their grandfather's houses for the lack of air conditioners. It is ovious that at the kampungs you can still see children going to schools without having breakfasts for their parents are really poor and they cant afford it. They cant even afford to give 50 cents a day to their children as school allowances.

The accolades they they get from the Non-Malay supporters have drowned them to the extent that they can't see the reality. Reality to them is just their world and their own interpretations of the world. My plea to them is to please wake up from your distorted and contrived world. See for yourselves the real world. Help these poor people. Do not try to stop these people from getting help from the government. The government is not perfect but at least they are doing something.

Perkasa

Yesterday was the first time that I heard the name of this organization mentioned by Dr Mahathir Mohamed. According to our former Prime Minister Malays are joining new associations or ngos because they feel that they are not being represented by UMNO anymore. What is said by our Tun is absolutely true. Now I feel that our Malays rights are not being taken care of by UMNO. These people are always busy seeking contracts and trying to make as much money and are only putting up a charade when facing the ordinary Malays. They just use the Malays as a stepping stone or platform to enrich themselves. They are not real fighters.

Once they are rewarded ministers post, these Malay ministers become too Malaysians and are more concerned with the well being of the corporate world. They forget about the Malays they are supposed to represent. This is unlike the Chinese ministers. They always take good care of the group they represent. In most of the things that they do they would give utmost importance to matters realted to their own community. The Malays therefore become disillusion with their own representatitives. They have nowhere to go. it is sad to see some Malays had to approach non Malay NGO group to hilight their problem.

The establishment of PERKASA is timely. The Malays need an effective platform to voice out their grievances. Despite being the majority in Malaysia they feel that they are being cornered in all aspects of their lives. We are now at a crossroad. We need a better platform to fight for our eroding rights. The Malay miniters are now lameducks who are afraid of fighting for the Malay issues. Their main concerns are their well bings in politics.

The Herald Catholic Newspaper

First of all I would have to congratulate Archbishop Tan Sri Murphy Pakiam for winning the High Court decision to allow the paper to use the word Allah. I have to congratulate The Tan Sri because for the last few months the Malays/Muslims in Malaysia were actually disoriented and without clear directions. There were so many bashings that were going on directed without mercy at the Malays and the Muslims. Dr Mohd Ridhwan Tee Abdulllah, Dr. Mahathir Mohammad and others are some of the personalities being bashed by the bloggers by some of the Chinese and Indian newspapers.

But suddenly came the High Court decision that allows the Catholics carte blanche/ freedom to use the word to describe the Lord /Jesus. This decision immediately has awaken Muslims and Malays from their sleep and deliberating their skewed positions. The decision by the esteem High Court judge has united UMNO, PAS and PKR Muslim members. Even the non-political Malays are beginning to unite again. All this because of Archbishop Tan Sri Pakiam. Thank You Sir. We need this unifying factor to continue to to unite the Muslims in Malaysia. Dato Seri Najib Razak could not have done it. Even Dr. Mahathir Mohammad despite years of experience could not have done what the Archbishop did. Thank you again Sir.

It was a a good thing  on the part of the Catholic leader to go to Court to solve what should have been solved through consultations and compromises. I thought the Barisan Nasional government was very accommodating to all believers in Malaysia. But alas this was not enough to the Archbishop. He wanted more . He wanted to encroach the threshold to the point that would anger the Muslims in Malaysia. It is truly a wrong strategic move. The Muslims in Malaysia would care less if the pribumi who embraced Catholicism in Sabah and Sarawak continue using the word Allah. But making it official through the legal means in which has severe social and legal implications is definitely not welcome by the Malays. Not every thing can be solved through the legal means.

The argument that the the Christian Arabs have been using the word to describe Christian god does not hold water because the context is different. In Malaysia Allah only refers to specifically to Muslim god. No other comparison should be made. The Catholics in Malaysia have no right to take it away from the Muslims. Getting the Court to help interpret on the behalf of the Muslims does not work. As it is just not a literal translation of God but it involves Akidah.

As a Malay who tries to unite the Malays I'm very thankful to the Catholic leader for uniting them. May Allah bless you.

Speaker's corners in Malaysian universities

The announcement by the Deputy Higher Education that Malaysian universities set up speaker's corner as something that should be welcome. This announcement is important because we do not want to produce university students who are like human robots devoid off all those generic skill. One aspect that I notice among the tertiary students especially the ones studying in the IPTA is the lack of communication skill. They have difficulty in relaying messages loud and clear. The students really lack the confidence and they tend to speak slowly . The problem is not juust the difficulty in expressing in English as they are equally lacking in competence to express themselves clearly in Bahasa Melayu.

As such the announcement by the Deputy Higher Education is timely and should be welcome by various parties. The people in the government and the universities should not fear this sort of activity in the speaker's corner. They should encourage the students to take part in this sort of activity as we do not want to produce zombies that would parrrot the government's view only. We need students who can really think and able to express their views and opinions in such a way that would reflect their status as university students.

One way in which the students could be encouraged to participate in the speaker's corner is to award extra marks or to be part of the course requirements for university courses. We need to produce future leaders who can think and lead the nation to greater heights. Malaysia should be lead by leaders who are honest, full of integrity and able ward of all the bribery temptation.

Dr Mohd Ridhwan Tee Abdullah

It is sad to see the Malaysian Chinese lynching Dr Ridhwan for conveying the feelings of the majority of the Malays in the country. The attack is vicious from left to right. Anything said by that good fellow is seen as racist. To the non-Malays Dr. Ridhwan is an extremist sometimes his views are considered as more extreme than the Malays. There are also ungrateful bloggers who benefited the most from the so called racist bumiputra policy abusing verbally on the pretext of logical reasoning.

These people are actually racist themselves hiding behind the concept of equality and the so called fairness policies. The private agenda is to actually question the sanctity of the rights of the Malays and accepted social contract. They argue based on the legal platform to challenge the established modalities. These bozos are used by the racists to further their political agendas. These clowns are  drowned with congratulatory messages and comments and probable feeling satisfied. But it is clear that the ungrateful beneficiaries could not have enjoyed the benefits without the affirmative actions taken by the government. This is not to say that the government machinery is not without flaws but tie can be ractified in the right manner using the right platform. Please do not use the Bumiputra rights as a bargaining chips as the ramifications are far reaching.

My advice to them is to take into account the historical and socio-cultural factors when debating the equality issues. Focusing on the legalistic aspects only does not bring justice to the Bumiputeras. This will affect them and issue will be seen as uneven handed and ultimately will create the perception of injustices. I hope the Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak will no be played out by these ungrateful Malays. Malaysia will stand a better chance to survive based on the so called ketuenan Melayu in a good sense

Chinese school students and Dr Ridhuan Tee Abdullah

The Chinese community have always argued that Chinese schools in Malaysia produce good students. But the students that I have come across are those that are very chauvinistic. They normally would only mix among themselves. Very seldom that I see that they group together among other races.

I also notice that they are quite narrow minded. Chances are they would not accept the Malaysian way of life. To them their chineseness is superior. They are just focus on their ethnic group. This is really sad for the country. We need students who are willing to mix around with other races.

I have always come across Chinese educated students who are very robot like in their thinking. I suppose this has got to do with their learning in the school. This group of students lack general knowledge about Malaysia. I suspect very few know who Dr. Mahathir is. Few would know the name of our king. But I'm not surprised if they know quite a lot about actors in Hong Kong . What a sad future for Malaysia. I totally agree with what is espoused by Dr. Ridhuan Tee Abdullah that the Chinese are ultra kiasu lot.

Chinese schools are good

These are some of the arguments put foward by the chinese educators and bloggers all the time.
1) Teachers in national schools are lazy and incompetent.
Where is the evidence to show that the teachers are lazy and incompetent. What is the basis for this? Has any study been conducted to ascertain the validity of this accusation. This is strictly based on hearsay propogated by the chinese extremist groupings such the Dong group. This view is alos propogated by really racing chinese who would never accept a national school or even an English medium schoo;s

2) Students in Chinese schools perform well

Where is the evidence? On what basis this is made. I know lots of schools that perform extremely well. One example is Sek Men Kebangsaan Jalan Empat in Bandar Baru Bangi. Students perform really well. Students of various races mixing together. I also know lots of chinese students from the vernacular schools who are arogant and insensitive to the multiracila living in Malaysia because of the education background

Malaysia our country

We have to accept the fact that Malaysia ia a multiracial country. Forever all the races will live and cohibit in this resource rich country. We have to work together to ensure that the country will continue to prosper and its people will converge and propel this great nation to a higher height. We need to be together and we need to get rid of the chauvinistic approach to life. One main obstacle that I see is the continued existence of the vernacular schools in Malaysia in particular the chinese schools.

The chinese people can speak/propogate/utilize/expand/control/ all the chinese language that they want but they should not be allowed to continue using the language to destroy the fragile cohesiveness of the various ethnic groups in our country. I see that the Malay politicians are working very hard to get the Malays to accept the multiracialness of the country and as I see it they have succeeded. Unfortunately, the politicians on the other side of the ethnic group are playing with fire. They purposely play the race card to fan the anger among the chinese community to to reject the status quo and to reject the dominance of the Mlaya. The problem with this agenda is that it will get out of hands and one dangerous consequence would be a disastrous effect to the country. I think Malaysia is the only country in the world in which the majority is beholden to the minority. Funny but that is the reality

THE BAD SIDE OF VERNACULAR SCHOOLS

The national schools are not perfect but there are more problems that one can cast apersion with regard to the vernacular schools. One of them would be that there is a lack of multiracial concept. One can safely assume that the only multiracial about the school is that it mainly caters to the ethnic chinese agenda. The students in the schools are mainly of chinese origin. The subjects are taught mainly in chinese with the exception of bahasa Malaysia and English subjects. The students are not exposed to the multiracial concept of living that will eventually be the way of living and coexisting. It is not uncommon to see chinese students eventually becoming very ethnocentric in their approach to life. I beg Malaysians in general to consider supporting the existence of chinese schools because these schools are nothing but a place that would only propogate race based education. We need to live together in harmony. We want our beloved country to succced. We need to train our generation the life of beautifully living together
